About Jami

Jami Golden-Mak is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience working with individuals, couples, and families here in Alabama.

Jami graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters in Social Work. Jami has most recently worked as an outpatient therapist at a non-profit where she provided counseling to a diverse client base specializing in attachment and trauma issues.

Working from a strengths-based and client centered perspective Jami helps clients work through attachment disruptions and complex trauma. Jami is trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as, Theraplay® Level I.

Jami has experience working with school aged children and a variety of individuals through the lifespan. She also has experience working couples and individuals seeking pre-marital counseling.

Life can be difficult and complex and Jami is here to help you through utilizing person-centered techniques. She is here to help you navigate tough transitions and changes as well as the everyday situations either as a family, individual, or couple.
